Mary Phillips (b.1778) daughter of John Phillips (1751?-1846) and Mary Chamberlain, married Isaac Hewitt, son of Deathic Hewitt and Elizabeth Searle; she then married Ephrian Purdy of Wayne Co., PA; and finally, Seth Goodrich (d.1808). Mary and Isaac Hewitt had seven children: Deathic (1795-1884), John Phillips (b.1797), Betsy (b.1799), Lavina (1802-1855?), Daniel (b.1804), Isaac (b.1806), and Mary Ann (b.1808).
